Artist's Description
In South Georgia this is what we call a horsefly. If they bite you it's as bad as a wasp sting. The wingspan on this one was about the size of a quarter, body much smaller. New 90mm macro lens did the trick. Had to boost the ISO to 800 to get the needed F11 to get "most" of the bug in focus. Check out those "fish eye" lenses he has for eyes... he can see 220 degrees I read somewhere.
